About Us

We help people make lasting changes to build their credit.

Working Credit is a not-for-profit organization that helps people in any financial situation overcome the obstacles to good credit and reap the benefits that come with it.

Addressing the root of so many financial problems.

When we set out to help people achieve their financial goals, we found many people had one thing in common: a low credit score or no credit score at all.  Good credit is the gateway to many opportunities that move people along the pathway to greater financial resilience and wealth creation. Without a good score, consumers often see their income depleted and their expenses increased by disproportionately high rates, fees and premiums for everyday financial products and services (like car loans, cell phones, and car insurance). These are dollars that could otherwise be used to pay bills, save, and build assets.

Our status as a non-profit organization means that the money we make is reinvested into achieving our mission. We’re in this to help people in any financial situation make lasting changes to help them reap the benefits of good credit. We don’t sell financial products, and we don’t work on commission. We’re here to help.

Working Credit is a lasting solution.

The world of credit can seem mysterious, but it’s not. In fact, there are clear cut rules to building and maintaining a good credit score—and it’s not based on your income, the amount of money you have, your background, or where you live. It’s about the financial products you use and how you manage them. You don’t have to navigate credit alone.
